Eric Roman, MS, MPAP, PA-C, Founder
Eric Roman, MS, MPAP, PA-C is the founder of PACE The PANCE, an education platform dedicated to supporting PA students and pre-health learners through every stage of training—from foundational sciences to board certification.
Eric earned his undergraduate degree in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from UC Davis, where he developed a strong foundation in human physiology and biomedical sciences while also advocating for underserved communities through student-run clinics. He went on to complete a Master of Science in Anatomy and Health Professions Education at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he specialized in medical education, anatomy, curriculum development, and teaching methodologies for health-professional students.
He later earned his Master of Physician Assistant Practice (MPAP) from the Keck School of Medicine of USC and became a board-certified Physician Assistant. Eric is currently a pediatric orthopedic surgery PA at Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego, where he works in both the emergency department and inpatient setting, managing complex musculoskeletal conditions and teaching learners in real time.
In parallel with his clinical career, Eric has spent years teaching and mentoring students across a wide range of disciplines, including Anatomy, Physiology, Pathophysiology, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Genetics, Neuroscience, and PA didactic and clinical coursework. His passion for education and board preparation led him to create PACE The PANCE, a collaborative platform powered by MDs, PhDs, PharmDs, PA-Cs, and senior PA students offering high-yield preparation for EOC, EOR, PACKRAT, PANCE, and PANRE exams.
Eric is known for his structured, clinically relevant teaching style that emphasizes clarity, application, and exam strategy. He is deeply committed to mentorship, health equity, and expanding access to high-quality medical education—particularly for students from underrepresented and underserved backgrounds. Today, through PACE The PANCE and his broader educational work, Eric continues to teach, mentor, and empower the next generation of Physician Assistants and healthcare professionals.
